Lebec Real Estate
Lebec is a tiny mountain community located in the Los Padres National Forest. Mt. Abel and Mt. Pinos border the general area, and Lebec has fine neighbors in Frazier Park, Pine Mountain Club, and other areas. When you live in Lebec, you have a choice of the alpine community activities, indoor recreation, city life (Los Angeles is only an hour away), and the fine California beaches, surf, and water sports.
Lebec
has become very popular lately with home buyers for many reasons, one
of which is because of Lebec schools. Lebec children attend classes at
the El Tejon Unified School District, which has one of the best
reputations in the area.
The Lebec Community
Because Lebec is so far from the metropolitan area, the air and local
bodies of water have a clean luster that one would associate with a
mountain town. However, it’s not so far away from Los Angeles and Santa Barbara
that you would miss the nightlife--simply drive for an hour and you can
be at the nightclubs, concerts, cultural functions, museums, amusement
parks, and other activities that the Los Angeles area is known for.
The greater Lebec area is actually comprised of smaller communities. Some of those are:
Los Padres Estates, which is a planned community that will include mobile home and manufactured home sites
- O’Neill Canyon
- Digier Canyon
- Clear Canyon
The Lebec area is one of the more popular areas for California
mountain property, attracting people from all over to its lots and
residences. If you like the Lebec area but want a little more privacy,
make sure you check out the Pine Mountain Club community,
with its exclusive recreation center and other amenities reserved for
residents only. If you don’t find the exact property you want in either
of these places, also try Frazier Park. It’s just down the street.
Lebec Real Estate
Like
much of the Lebec area, home prices vary widely. You will find lots
around Lebec for around $30,000, and other areas will have large
expensive homes in the millions. However, regardless of your budget and
where you live in Lebec, you will have the crisp atmosphere, outdoor
activities and sports, and family-friendly community of an alpine
mountain town.
Remember
that in Lebec you aren’t giving up your proximity to the big city
culture. You will only be sixty minutes away from an active nightlife
and cultural activities. You will also be close to the Southern California beaches that this area of California is famous for (and don’t forget Disneyland, Magic Mountain,
and other amusement areas). So it doesn’t matter whether you want an
evening at the symphony, a day at the beach, or a hike around your
alpine town--if you live in Lebec, you can have it all.
